Scan My Skincare
The rebranded app is in final testing. Previously Fungal Scan. What is changing?

Clear matches. Honest limits.

An ingredient name, what it does and whether it matches your preferences are three different things.

First, read and review the label

The browser accepts pasted ingredient text and checks it locally. iPhone label photos are processed online to extract text. Review the names against the package before checking; curved bottles, glare and small print can produce errors.

Then, apply your selected checks

Groups look for a defined set of names and reviewed aliases. Individual watches look for the name you choose. Closely related ingredients are not silently treated as the same thing. A match means “on your selected list,” not “bad for everybody.”

Functions explain a common use

The app's descriptions use reviewed sources including European Commission CosIng function records. A role such as preservative or moisturising ingredient describes a common use. It does not establish concentration, approval, individual suitability or a safety score.

Missing information stays missing

Some ingredients have no information for a selected check. We can still show actual matches, but an incomplete check does not become a complete no-match result. A new glossary entry or description never automatically clears a missing assessment.

Sources and updates

Manufacturer ingredient lists are dated snapshots. Formulas can vary by country, size and time. Your package is the list to compare. Report an ingredient or product correction; reports are reviewed before shared content changes.

Independent of shopping commissions

Commission does not change ingredient rules or rankings. Shopping links are not active on this new site at launch preparation. Existing fungal-site retailer links are disclosed where they appear.
